2nd Triennial IOTA Congress
Podium/Poster, Poster and Symposium Abstract Submission

SUBMISSION CHOICES:
Submitting authors may choose between Poster/Podium (if selected, the Program Committee will select the presentation format), Poster only (if selected, the presentation will only be in poster format), Tips/Tricks (Innovation), or Symposia abstracts.
GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR PODIUM/POSTER, TIPS & TRICKS AND SYMPOSIUM ABSTRACT SUBMISSIONS:
- The abstract submission deadline for podium, posters, tips & tricks and symposium is March 27, 2025 - 17:00 CST.
- Research that has been published in a peer reviewed journal prior to the abstract submission deadline should not be submitted for consideration. Note: If the abstract has been submitted or presented elsewhere but not yet published (online or in print), it is acceptable.
- Podium presentations will be seven minutes long.
- Posters and Tips/Tricks (Innovations) presentations must be exhibited throughout the IOTA meeting (October 21 - 22, 2025) and encouraged to be presented throughout both the IOTA and FEMECOT Meetings (October 21 - 25, 2025).
- Symposia will be 60 minutes long with at least 10 minutes of discussion. Three to five presenting faculty and one to two moderators are suggested. For IOTA Member Society official submissions, the IOTA countries participating in the symposium will be identified in the abstract submission process.
- It is the responsibility of the corresponding author to communicate all presentation information to the presenting author(s).
- There is no numerical limit on the number of abstracts an author may submit.
- Financial disclosures are mandatory for the presenting author to submit on behalf of all authors at the time of submission. No abstract (whether podium or poster) will be accepted without the disclosure statement at the time of abstract submission. We define relevant disclosures as individuals that have a financial interest in primary business that produce, market, sell, re-sell, or distribute healthcare products used by or on patients. There is no minimum financial threshold; you must disclose all financial relationships, regardless of the amount.
- The abstract text must be blinded (no references to author, institutions, or country within the body or title of the abstract). Secondary Analyses of published clinical trials and data sets should disclose the name of the trial in the text. Non-blinded abstracts will not be considered.
- AI Policy: Author agrees to only use AI tools for the following purposes: idea generation and general knowledge questions and research meant to enhance Author’s understanding on a topic. Authors may not use AI tools to create final work products (including deliverables) or any content (including images) to be distributed by IOTA/FEMECOT.
- There will be Highlight Paper Awards and Highlight Poster Awards. If presentations are selected for these awards, the authors must agree (during abstract submission) to publish in the journals OTA International or Injury, respectively.
